We're back in Northallerton for another walk in cervical screening clinic. It's on Saturday 1st February 2025 at 📍 The Friarage Hospital from 10am - 3pm. This walk in coincides with the end of Cervical Cancer Awareness Month. Every day, two women die of cervical cancer in England, yet 99.8% of cases are preventable. We know that it's easy to put off going to your screening, but it could just save your life. The screening itself only takes a short amount of time, and whilst perhaps a little uncomfortable, it shouldn't be painful. Our fantastic team of nurses will be with you every step of the way, and there are lots of ways they can make you feel as comfortable as possible. They're there to answer all your questions as well as carry out the screening. Any women or people with a cervix aged 25-64 can attend for their cervical screening if they are due (you need to have received your letter) or overdue. Simply come and see us with your NHS number to hand and we'll do the rest. If you're seeing this and you've been putting it off or haven't got round to booking, take this as your sign to tick it off your to do list ✅ We also offer bookable clinics across the region. If you would rather have a set appointment time, or would rather attend another clinic location, simply call our central bookings team on 01904 721111 and they'll arrange a suitable date and time for you.
