19th June 2026

It's Cervical Screening Awareness Week - the perfect time to announce our next walk in clinic in York! 📅 Monday 29 June 2026 🕓 4pm to 7pm 📍 Monkgate Health Centre, YO31 7PB All you need to come along is: ✅ To have received your reminder (usually via the NHS app) ✅ Your NHS number You may have seen recent news reporting that those who receive the HPV vaccine now face an "almost zero" risk of dying from cervical cancer before the age of 30. This is fantastic news and shows just how effective prevention can be. Cervical screening also plays an important role. Screening helps to find changes in the cervix before they become cancer. It's so important, even if you have been vaccinated, to stay up to date with your smears. If you're due and have been putting it off, take this as your sign to get it ticked off your to do list.
