Pregnancy tests are very reliable so if you've got a positive pregnancy test, it's likely to be accurate.
You may have mixed feelings about this. This is totally normal and you're not alone.
Abortion
There are several organisations who can support you when exploring abortion.
MSI Reproductive Choices and the British Pregnancy Advisory Service (BPAS) help thousands of women with unplanned pregnancy counselling, and abortion treatment every year.
MSI offers abortion services from our Monkgate clinic. Find out more here.
Please note this is a separate service and you need to contact them directly.
Continuing with your pregnancy
If you think you would like to continue your pregnancy, you need to self refer to a Midwife.
If you live in Bridlington, Malton, Scarborough, Selby, Whitby and York, click here
If you live in Harrogate, click here
If you are unsure which area you are in, or if you would like to register with a different area, click here for more information. You can also contact your GP.
Contraception
If you are looking to prevent future pregnancies, we offer a number of different contraception options through our clinics.
Contraception is a personal choice, and we're not here to encourage you one way or another. We'll give you the information, advise you, and help you decide what works best for you.
You can visit our Contraception page for information, helpful videos, and guidance. Once you've decided, or if you would like to speak to one of our nurses to help you decide, call us on 01904 721111, text us (if you're 17 or under) on 0797 377 5692, or come to one of our Walk In & Wait clinics.
Please be aware that if you attend a Walk In clinic and would like a coil or implant, we may need to book another appointment for you.
