If you are a sex worker accessing sexual health services, you can use the red umbrella card which will fast track your attendance in clinic. These cards are available at any of our clinics.

Your Rights

We respect your right to feel safe and secure, and your right to privacy and confidentiality. YorSexual Health is a confidential service, and no details will be shared with other agencies or care providers without your consent, within the bounds of safeguarding.

Your Safety

If you feel unsafe, or are at risk within a relationship or circumstance, our team can help you. Please speak to a member of staff in confidence.

External Support

You can also anonymously report dangerous individuals to National Ugly Mugs, who will then send out an alert to other sex workers in the local area.

Womens Wellness offers support to women in York and North Yorkshire.

North Yorkshire Police can offer you safety advice via their website.

Disruption to Testing

Between 29th August and 5th September 2025, there will be some disruption to our testing services 🧪 Our hospital trust are changing their laboratory system ❌ We won't be able to carry out any non-urgent testing, so we'll be suspending our Test and Go (TAG) clinics and won't be able to test you during appointments or walk ins if you are asymptomatic (you don't have any symptoms) ✅ If you're experiencing symptoms, please continue to contact us as normal. Our team will be able to advise you on the best course of action. You can also contact your GP, but be aware that they may be facing the same challenges ❤ Under 25?
