Important information about the Coronavirus (COVID-19)

In order to help reduce the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) we are offering telephone appointments and postal tests/treatments whenever possible. If you need to be seen in a clinic this can be arranged after you have spoken with a nurse on the phone.

During lockdown 2 we recommend people who live and work outside of North Yorkshire and York access sexual health services local to them to reduce travel  between regions

Our 'contact us' option on the website can be used but there may be some delays in responding to non-urgent queries.

If you are under 18 and/or are living in a situation where you are unable to safely call us, please text us on 07980 973337. We will reply to you within 1 - 2 working days. Please note that this texting service is not for routine enquiries. If you feel your safety is at risk please contact the Police.

YorSexualHealth Counselling Service - latest updates

YorSexualHealth Counselling Service - latest updates

Back in May we wrote a news piece which explained how the counselling service had moved to remote working (telephone and video call) due to the Covid-19 restrictions. This remains the case, but we are looking at how and when we will be able to resume some face-to-face counselling again, so please keep checking back here regularly for the latest updates. Our priority re. any decisions about this will always be based on your safety and that of other patients, along with all staff who work in the clinics.

If you would like to make an appointment with one of our counsellors (choice of male or female available) for a referral or a have a chat to see if this is right for you, please telephone: 01904 725427 or complete the confidential online self referral form. Before doing so, you might like to visit our main counselling page to learn more about the different sexual health issues we can work with.
