We are experiencing significant demand for services within the trust. Our nursing teams are supporting hospital services with increased winter pressures and COVID activity.

As a result we will be running reduced lists at Monkgate, Scarborough, Selby and Harrogate.

Please be patient with our staff, they are working extremely hard to ensure that you get the most appropriate care as quickly as possible.


If you are experiencing severe pain and our clinics are closed please telephone NHS 111, for help and information 24 hours a day 365 days a year or attend the nearest A&E department.


Your GP may be able to help with your contraception needs.

Improved online testing service

YorSexual Health STI online testing is changing from mid-December across York and North Yorkshire.

FREE and CONFIDENTIAL postal tests can be ordered through our website - for Chlamydia only (North Yorkshire) or combined tests for HIV, Syphilis, Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea (York and North Yorkshire).

If you have used this service before you will see that some changes have been introduced to improve your experience and adapt it to your individual needs.

  • Our new service puts you more in control of your sexual health testing.
  • Our online consultation is designed to offer you the right test kits and support you safely and securely.
  • Once registered, you will have access to your own patient portal to see results, test history as well as access information and advice.
  • There is improved support and messaging to get advice
  • This is easily accessible from your mobile device

 We are updating our website to include more information including FAQs and who to contact if you have any questions.
